Synopsis
Toll the Hounds is the eighth novel in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. Set largely in the city of Darujhistan and in the shadow-drenched realm of Black Coral, it follows the legacy of Anomander Rake, Son of Darkness and Lord of the Tiste Andii, as he returns to Darujhistan to confront and right an ancient wrong that has followed him across centuries, even as a fast-growing religious cult devoted to a figure called the Redeemer begins to stir unrest and unease throughout the city, and old friends and enemies alike are drawn back toward Darujhistan's crowded, dangerous streets.
