Synopsis
Trickster's Queen is the second book of the Daughter of the Lioness duology, continuing after Aly's summer among the Balitangs in Trickster's Choice. No longer a slave, Aly has risen to become a trusted master of spies within the raka rebellion in the Copper Isles, coordinating agents and information as the conspiracy she was drawn into moves toward open action. The rebels believe an old prophecy naming a new queen is close to fulfillment, and Aly's chief task is to protect the teenage girl at its center along with her siblings, whose survival is essential to the raka cause. As the political situation in the Copper Isles grows more volatile and dangerous factions maneuver against the Balitang family, Aly must use everything she learned as a spy to keep her charges alive while the rebellion gathers momentum.
