Synopsis
The second book of Lisa Smedman's House of Serpents trilogy, which explores the political intrigues of the yuan-ti, the snake-like people of the Forgotten Realms whose ways had been little explored in earlier Realms fiction, and which its publisher presented as affecting many other storylines in the setting. It continues the story begun in Venom's Taste among the serpent folk and the humans who live under them, leading toward the struggle with the cult of the serpent god Sseth that closes the trilogy in Vanity's Brood.
