Synopsis
Where the Library Hides continues directly from What the River Knows, following Inez Olivera as she confronts an ultimatum tied to her family's inheritance that pushes her toward considering marriage to Whitford Hayes, the former adversary turned ally who helped her investigate her parents' deaths in the previous novel. Whit, for his part, harbors his own undisclosed reasons for remaining in Egypt, motives that could complicate or threaten Inez's plans even as their bond deepens. As Inez navigates the practical and emotional stakes of the arrangement, she continues to grapple with the magical and historical mysteries surrounding her family's legacy in Cairo's antiquities world, balancing trust, ambition, and the risk of binding her future to someone whose full intentions remain unclear.
