Synopsis
Wind and Truth is the fifth novel in Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive, published in 2024, with flashback chapters centered on the assassin Szeth, known as the Assassin in White. It begins ten days after Dalinar Kholin challenges the god Odium to a contest of champions, with Roshar racing to prepare. Kaladin and Szeth travel to Shinovar seeking ancient weapons known as Honorblades, while Shallan, Rlain, and Renarin venture into the spiritual realm hoping to find an entity called Ba-Ado-Mishram. Dalinar and Navani search visions of the past for the legacy of the god Honor, Adolin defends Azimir against Odium's forces, and Sigzil and Venli struggle to hold the Shattered Plains, while Jasnah organizes defenses in Thaylenah. With only ten days before the outcome is decided, the fate of Roshar's peoples, and the wider Cosmere, hangs in the balance.
