Synopsis
Winter Lost continues the Mercy Thompson series as Mercy, still recovering from lasting injuries sustained in earlier events, begins receiving threatening calls from a powerful and dangerous vampire whose intentions remain unclear. At the same time, her half-brother Gary appears at her door seemingly unable to comprehend the world around him, having fallen under a curse that leaves him disoriented and vulnerable. Concerned for his safety and determined to understand what has happened to him, Mercy and her mate Adam set out to find a way to undo the curse, a search that pulls them away from home even as the vampire's threats continue to loom over them. Their journey leads them toward unfamiliar territory and a fateful wedding taking place along the way, forcing Mercy to balance her brother's crisis with the unresolved danger she left behind in the Tri-Cities.
