Overview
A Night in the Lonesome October is a standalone Victorian horror-fantasy pastiche narrated by Snuff, a watchdog who is the familiar of a man doing very peculiar things around London. Over the thirty-one nights of October, a cast of "players" and "openers" drawn from Gothic and detective fiction (a Great Detective and companion, a mad monk, a cursed man who changes shape by moonlight, a vampire count) assemble their own familiars and game pieces toward a ritual that will open, or keep closed, a gate between worlds.
