Overview
Eleven-year-old Triss wakes from a near-drowning feeling deeply wrong — hungrier, stranger, and increasingly unable to trust her own memories. She is a changeling, a fairy substitute with only days left to live before the real Triss must be found and freed, forcing her into an uneasy alliance with the resentful younger sister who alone suspects the truth, and into a hidden, unsettling fairy world beneath the family’s postwar English town.
