Overview
This Woven Kingdom is a fantasy series by Tahereh Mafi, first published in 2022 and inspired by Persian mythology. Alizeh, a servant hiding her identity as the lost heir to an ancient Jinn kingdom, crosses paths with Crown Prince Kamran of Ardunia, who is troubled by prophecies of his king's death. Later books bring in Cyrus, ruler of the neighbouring kingdom of Tulan, and set the three in a triangle of romance and rivalry as empires move toward war. Four novels have been published (2022 to 2025). The author has said the series will run to five books, with the final volume delayed from fall 2026 to spring 2027, so the series is still in progress.
