Erin A. Craig is an American author of young adult gothic fantasy, best known for her debut novel House of Salt and Sorrows, published by Delacorte Press on August 6, 2019, the first book in the Sisters of the Salt duology, inspired by the fairy tale 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses' and set in a coastal world haunted by superstition, ritual, and death. It has since been translated and published in more than fifteen countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Brazil, and Russia. She followed it with the sequel House of Roots and Ruin. Craig has continued to write atmospheric gothic fiction for young readers, including Small Favors, The Thirteenth Child, A Land So Wide, and Our Strange Duet, each continuing her focus on eerie, folklore-infused settings, morally complex family dynamics, and young women confronting supernatural threats tied to isolated, tradition-bound communities.
