Nicholas Eames is a Canadian fantasy writer who debuted with Kings of the Wyld in 2017, the first novel in The Band trilogy, which continued with Bloody Rose and concluded with Outlaw Empire. Kings of the Wyld won the 2018 David Gemmell Morningstar Award for best fantasy debut and the r/Fantasy Stabby Award for Best Debut Novel of 2017, and has been noted for blending traditional fantasy adventure with contemporary, rock-band-inspired humor, following a group of aging mercenaries reuniting for one last job. Film rights to The Band trilogy were optioned in 2019. Eames' work is published internationally, including by Orbit Books, and he continues to write fantasy fiction centered on found-family adventuring parties.
