Susan Ee is a Korean-American author of young-adult fantasy, born in Korea and raised in California, who worked as a lawyer before turning to writing, which she says lets her imagination bust out and go feral. She has eaten mezze in the old city of Jerusalem, surfed the warm waters of Costa Rica and played her short films at major festivals, and has a lifelong love of science fiction, fantasy and horror, especially with a touch of romance. Her debut, Angelfall (2011), the first of the USA Today-bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy completed by World After and End of Days, is listed among TIME's hundred best fantasy books of all time; her books have been translated into over twenty languages, and film rights to Angelfall were picked up in 2012.
