Synopsis
Sir Max is reckless and sometimes careless but never discouraged, and the volume follows him through countless taverns and the streets of lost cities. It pairs an exotic fantasy adventure with a solid detective story. In the first novella Max meets the hidden reverse side that every living world has, a side called dark not because it is evil but because living beings cannot see it. The second novella, about Doror, the Lord of the Manukhs, turns to dreams and storytelling as Max follows another strange trail through the worlds beyond Echo.
