Synopsis
In the second part of Dawn, autumn rains have muted the large wars, but tensions rise and the line between life and death grows thin. Colours shift, frescoes seem to go mad, and people cannot trust their own eyes. The capital, renamed for the fourth time, seems to suffer a nightmare. Rupert von Felsenburg vanishes into fog, a Lord appears at the Rocks, Savignac gains a sixth part of a heart, and the kazar Baata nears the truth. Captain Aramona shields someone close, Admiral Valdes sends out manifestos, and Marshal Capras does not fully understand himself. Four and a half months remain before the new Circle begins, and two books remain in the cycle.
