Synopsis
After she is expelled from the girls' school, Filiel moves to the royal palace with Adeil, the queen candidate, and begins life at court. Events at an evening party start a rumour that she is engaged to Adeil's brother Eusys, and he soon proposes to her. Meanwhile, the duke is plotting against her, and her childhood friend Rune disappears in order to protect her. Filiel has to find her way through the manoeuvres of the palace, where alliances shift, while she tries to understand what Rune has done and why. The volume also includes a short story about the early meeting between Eusys and Leandra.
