Synopsis
This side story is set before the main series and shows how Filiel and Rune first met. Filiel lives with the Holly couple next door because her father, Dr. Dee, is absorbed in his research. One day Mr. Holly brings home a thin boy with no family. Mrs. Holly does not want to keep him, but Dr. Dee takes a strong interest in the boy, and Filiel, who is used to having her father's attention, feels uneasy. The story follows the early days of the two children's friendship, the odd attention the scholar pays to the newcomer, and the secrets that surround the boy's arrival in her household.
