Synopsis

A Court of Mist and Fury, Sarah J. Maas's second novel in the series, picks up three months after Feyre's ordeal beneath the Mountain in A Court of Thorns and Roses, with Feyre back at the Spring Court and engaged to marry Tamlin. Though she now has High Fae powers and an extended life, Feyre is haunted by nightmares and trauma, and finds herself isolated within Tamlin's household. She remains bound by an unresolved bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court, and is pulled back into his world as her wedding approaches. As the King of Hybern's ambitions grow to seize a powerful Cauldron and tear down the wall separating the faerie realm from human lands, Rhysand comes to believe Feyre holds abilities essential to stopping the invasion, forcing her to reckon with obligations, loyalties, and a war she did not choose.
