Synopsis

A Killing Frost is the fourteenth novel in the October Daye series and a direct sequel to The Unkindest Tide. It opens with Toby preparing for her own wedding and discovering that, under the law of Faerie, she is obliged to invite Simon Torquill, her biological father, or risk triggering political chaos within the Kingdom of the Mists. Reluctantly setting out to track Simon down, who has given up his own way home while awaiting the return of the long-absent King Oberon, Toby is pulled into a journey that forces her to confront old grudges and buried family history at the worst possible moment, with the stability of her own upcoming marriage hanging in the balance.

Notes

  • From the series record (October Daye): Long-running urban fantasy series; the main novel sequence only. Distinct from McGuire's Wayward Children. Numerous companion novellas/short stories exist and were not researched.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
