Synopsis
Age of Empyre is the sixth book of Michael J. Sullivan's Legends of the First Empire series, concluding the original sequence as a door long sealed is opened, unleashing an army of dragons that advances on the war-torn lands of Rhunes and Fhrey alike. The Fhrey leadership, already strained by years of conflict, gains dangerous new knowledge threatening to upend whatever balance of power remains, while the human clans struggle to muster a defense against a threat unlike anything faced before. Persephone and Raithe hold together their alliance as losses mount, while the mystic Suri and her fellow mystics represent the Rhunes' last hope of matching the coming devastation. With old loyalties tested and new dangers converging, the surviving leaders on both sides must decide how far they will go, and what they will sacrifice, to see the conflict through.
