Synopsis
Samaria has been reshaped by major social change, with corrupt alliances removed and the Edori freed. Elizabeth, a farm girl, travels to the new angel hold at Cedar Hills hoping to bear an angel's child and live in privilege. Rebekah, a Jansai woman confined within her father's walls, meets the angel Obadiah on a rare trip to the market. The three follow separate roads at first, and each is shaped by the customs of angel-seekers, humans who pursue angel lovers for wealth and status. Their lives begin to cross as the story moves on.
