Synopsis

Antiagon Fire follows Quaeryt after the military successes chronicled in the previous volume, as he is promoted to commander and given a difficult diplomatic mission: persuading the Pharsi High Council in Khel to accept Lord Bhayar's authority over their lands. Accompanied by his pregnant wife Vaelora, Quaeryt leads a combined force of soldiers and Imagers through territory formerly controlled by the oppressive Rex Kharst, encountering resistance from entrenched High Holders along the way. As the campaign progresses, the group faces coordinated assaults from both land and sea, aerial attacks from rival Imagers serving the rival power of Antiago, and the unexpected involvement of a secretive order of powerful women whose goals are not yet clear.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Imager Portfolio): Twelve novels across three story arcs (Rhennthyl's, then Quaeryt's, then Alastar and Prince Charyn's) set in one continuous world and timeline, treated as a single series rather than a multi-series world.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
