Synopsis

Imager's Battalion picks up with Quaeryt still recovering from the costly battle of Ferravyl when Lord Bhayar selects him to lead history's first fighting force composed of Imagers into war against the neighboring land of Bovaria, in retaliation for Bovaria's attempt to annex western Telaryn. Quaeryt accepts the command with an agenda of his own: to prove the value of Imagers not merely as unconventional weapons but as legitimate soldiers and heroes, hoping that repeated battlefield successes will change how ordinary people and the powerful alike regard his kind. His task is complicated by court and military intrigue that follows him even to the front lines, as rivals and enemies continue to scheme against him while he leads his untested battalion into one costly engagement after another.
