Synopsis
Rex Regis follows Quaeryt, now a commander in Lord Bhayar's forces, as the long campaign to unify the continent of Lydar under a single rule enters what looks to be its final phase. While Quaeryt awaits word from the High Council of Khel on a decision that could mean either peace or another war, a charge of high treason emerges that threatens to unravel everything he has achieved in the preceding campaigns. The accusation pushes Quaeryt toward a confrontation with some of Bhayar's most powerful military leaders, forcing him to defend both his record and his loyalty even as the larger project of consolidating Lydar's fractured lands hangs in the balance.
