Synopsis
In Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox, Artemis must travel into his own past to recover a rare, and by this point extinct, lemur whose brain fluid holds the only known cure for an illness afflicting his mother. The mission forces him to confront a younger version of himself, one who has not yet been shaped by the schemes and alliances of the preceding books, creating friction between the person Artemis was and the person he has since become. Navigating the ethical and practical complications of interacting with his past self, Artemis must secure the cure without irreparably altering the timeline that led to the present he currently inhabits.
