Synopsis

Beauty and the Werewolf follows Bella, formally Isabella Beauchamps, the eldest daughter of a wealthy merchant family, who is determined to avoid the predictable fate the Tradition seems to have planned for her. Wearing a red cloak on a walk through the forbidden forest to consult a local wise woman, Bella instead encounters a wolf that turns out to be a cursed nobleman, and finds herself drawn into his household and his troubles. Torn between her obligations to her own family and a growing connection to a man who shifts unpredictably between clever inventor and dangerous werewolf, Bella must decide how far she is willing to go to help break his curse, and what that decision will cost her.

Notes

  • From the series record (Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms): A completed 7-book sequence of standalone fairy-tale-retelling novels sharing one meta-fictional secondary world ("The Tradition", a narrative-causality force that pushes real lives toward familiar fairy-tale shapes), published 2004-2012 by Luna/Harlequin.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
