Synopsis
The Fire Queen Zorah has held Oran for two hundred years, and her rule is now under real pressure. The rebel New Moon army is gathering its forces, and the powers of the land, each embodied in a woman, are rising again. The new Queens' Quarter, successors to the queens Zorah destroyed, are coming into their strength, while people from the city's poorest streets are drawn into the struggle alongside them. The knot that binds the four queens together is tightening, and the rebels prepare for a final confrontation with Zorah that will decide who governs Oran.
