Synopsis
Oran is still ruled by the Fire Queen Zorah, but the rebellion that gathered under the sign of the new moon is now an army. The young women who carry the powers of the old queens are beginning to learn what they can do, and the army is attracting unusual allies. Both sides move towards Sadar's Keep, the place where Zorah destroyed her rival queens two hundred years earlier. The coming battle there echoes that older conflict, and the spirits of the earlier queens appear to be working to take control of the new ones. The young queens must grow up quickly and face the consequences of their choices.
