Synopsis
For two hundred years the Fire Queen Zorah has ruled Oran alone. She destroyed the queens of Earth, Air and Water who once shared the land's rule, and she has had any child who shows elemental magic put to death, with the Silean army keeping order for her. Four young women who carry the powers of Earth, Fire, Water and Air have escaped that fate and live in hiding, not fully understanding what they are. As they begin to find one another, a band of artists, orphans, thieves and fighters enters the city under the sign of a blood-red new moon, gathering people who want the Fire Queen's rule to end.
