Synopsis
Belladonna is the second book in Anne Bishop's Ephemera series, following Sebastian. It continues the conflict between the Light and the Dark of Ephemera and centers on Glorianna Belladonna's effort to stop the Eater of the World, a shape-changing monster that feeds on fear and dark emotions. The book also introduces Michael, a wandering musician whose arrival affects every one of the main characters. Set in a world made of living landscapes that are shaped by emotion, the novel follows Glorianna and the people around her as they confront the creature that threatens the places she has spent her life tending.
