Synopsis
Bilbo's Last Song (at the Grey Havens) is a short poem by J.R.R. Tolkien, written as a coda to The Lord of the Rings and sung by Bilbo Baggins as he prepares to leave Middle-earth from the Grey Havens. Rooted in an earlier Old Norse composition from the 1920s, it was first published in Dutch translation in 1973 and later issued in English, including as an illustrated picture book.
