Synopsis
In the realm of the Hundred, elite warriors called the Black Wolves have spent fifteen years hunting four cloaked, mind-controlling riders of winged horses. The king assigns his most capable Wolf, Kellas, to root out a traitor within their own order, a mission that could win him command of the prince's guard. As the investigation unfolds, Kellas is forced to question which side of the growing conflict he actually serves.
Where it sits
- Universe: Crossroads
- Series: not part of a registered series (standalone work within its universe)
- Author: Kate Elliott
Notes
- Set in the Hundred decades after the founding trilogy, with a new cast; originally planned as its own trilogy but released as a single standalone volume after the follow-up books were not published. Classified Expanded rather than Core: a separate later story arc in the same setting, not part of the founding trilogy's own continuous narrative.
Neighbouring works
Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
- Publication order, within Crossroads (standalone work): position 4 of 4: previous Traitors' Gate (2010)
