Synopsis
Jane Yellowrock, a skinwalker who hunts vampires for hire, has lately been working for vampires as well as against them. She now serves the vampire Master of New Orleans, Leo Pellissier, as his enforcer. When the vampire council hires her to track down one of its own who has broken ancient rules, Jane is pulled deeper into a society that is thousands of years old. The job tests her loyalties, because the bonds among vampires, their blood servants and their allies run far deeper than she expected. She must decide whom to trust while the council watches her every move and the hunt closes in on its target.
