Synopsis
Jane Yellowrock, the shape-shifting vampire hunter who now acts as enforcer to the Master of New Orleans, meets a stranger who has come to the city. He says he was hired to hunt vampires that have gone insane, though Jane has only his word for it. His arrival lands in the middle of the city's own troubles, and she has to decide whether he is a danger to her people or a help. Her inner Beast reacts to him in ways that complicate the question. Meanwhile Jane tries to keep her friends and her employer safe, and to learn what is turning vampires mad before the killings spread.
