Synopsis
Boundless continues the Generations trilogy, reuniting Zaknafein, Jarlaxle, and the adult Drizzt Do'Urden after the resurrected Zaknafein returns to a version of Menzoberranzan he no longer fully recognizes. Father and son navigate the treacherous drow city together for the first time, their reunion complicated by the years and choices that separate them. The three companions face renewed drow political maneuvering as they move through the city, encountering echoes of struggles from decades past that now resurface in new forms. Their combined efforts to navigate Menzoberranzan's dangers, and to reconcile old history with present circumstances, drive the novel's central tension as the wider Generations story builds toward its final confrontation.
