Synopsis
After the barrier that shielded humans from the Fae fell, imprisoned immortals were freed and Dublin became a battleground. MacKayla Lane, a gifted sidhe-seer, is determined to protect her home. She has defeated the Sinsar Dubh, an ancient book of evil, yet its hold on her is stronger than ever. As the ice left by the Hoar Frost King melts, several groups compete for power: the Seelie and Unseelie courts, nine ancient immortals who have ruled Dublin for thousands of years, and a rival band of sidhe-seers. Dani O'Malley, once Mac's protege and friend, has become her enemy, and the Highland druid Christian MacKeltar is held captive by the Crimson Hag. Mac can rely only on Jericho Barrons, but their bond is under strain.
