Synopsis

During the autumn off-season, when only a handful of campers are in residence at Camp Half-Blood on Long Island, Katie Kim, a Korean American daughter of Ares with a very dangerous secret, discovers a forbidden stretch of the camp's forest known as the Wild Zone. When she and four other newbie demigods dare to enter it, they unleash ancient curses and bloodthirsty monsters and find themselves in a fight to survive, in the first book of a new series about what goes on at camp between Percy Jackson's legendary quests.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
