Synopsis
Charon's Claw is the third book of R.A. Salvatore's Neverwinter Saga, continuing directly from Neverwinter. Drizzt Do'Urden and Dahlia Sin'felle return to the ruined city of Neverwinter seeking retribution against the Netherese lord Herzgo Alegni, who rules the area with the aid of a sentient, corrupting magical sword called Charon's Claw. Their path crosses again with Artemis Entreri, Drizzt's longtime rival turned uneasy ally, who is himself bound to the same weapon and seeking a way to break its hold over him. As old grudges resurface amid the region's ongoing turmoil, the group's overlapping goals of vengeance and freedom from Charon's Claw's influence pull them toward a confrontation with Alegni and his forces, with tensions rising between Drizzt, Dahlia, and enemies both old and newly emerged from the shadows of Neverwinter.
