Synopsis
Neverwinter is the second book of R.A. Salvatore's Neverwinter Saga, picking up only days after the events of Gauntlgrym. Having survived the catastrophe there largely alone, Drizzt Do'Urden makes his way toward the port city of Luskan in the company of Dahlia Sin'felle, an elf warrior he has recently met. Their journey draws them into Luskan's criminal underworld and among pirates operating on the city's fringes, placing the pair on the wrong side of the law as they navigate a city where ordinary people face difficult choices under pressure. The novel follows their uneasy partnership through the dangers and moral compromises of this environment, while the wider consequences of Gauntlgrym's upheaval continue to unsettle the region around Neverwinter, setting the stage for the conflicts to come.
