Synopsis
Some time after Rusalka, Sasha, now an eighteen-year-old wizard, Pyetr, and Eveshka live an uneasy peace in the forest -- until Eveshka vanishes and the trail leads to the dark sorcerer Chernevog, long thought asleep. As old magic stirs alongside creatures of Slavic folklore, the household must decide how far conscience can bend before wizardry curdles into the kind of power Chernevog wields. The title borrows its name from Chernobog, the Slavic god of darkness.
