Synopsis
In the third book of the Circle Opens series, Daja Kisubo travels to frozen Namorn, where she takes on twin students with magical gifts tied to household work, testing her patience and her ability to teach two very different personalities at once. Her stay is disrupted by a string of mysterious, deliberately set fires threatening the city, and Daja is drawn into investigating an arsonist whose attacks grow increasingly dangerous. As the fires continue, Daja discovers her own unexpected connection to the unfolding crisis, forcing her to confront the limits of her skill as a teacher while also working to stop the person responsible before more of the city burns.
