Synopsis
Crown of Shadows brings the Coldfire Trilogy to its final volume on Erna, where humanity's uneasy, thousand-year coexistence with the reality-warping force called the Fae is upended when the demonic Iezu known as Calesta declares open war on the human species. Described as a master of illusion who feeds on suffering, Calesta intends to reshape humankind so that its existence serves only to sate his appetite for pain, a corruption that reaches even into the Church of the One God, whose faithful begin to fall prey to his influence as the war for humanity's future edges toward its close. First published in 1995, Crown of Shadows belongs to the The Coldfire Trilogy series.
