Synopsis
D'un monde à l'autre opens La Quête d'Ewilan in modern-day France, where thirteen-year-old Camille Duciel, an orphan raised in a children's home, discovers she has an unexplained gift for making drawings that seem to affect the world around her. Alongside her best friend Salim, she is unexpectedly drawn through a passage into Gwendalavir, a parallel world locked in conflict with the Ts'liches, an insectoid race bent on domination. There she learns that her true name is Ewilan Gil'Sayan and that her drawing ability is the Drawing, a rare and powerful magical gift tied directly to her true origins in Gwendalavir and to a family she never knew she had. Guided by new allies, Camille begins to grasp both the scope of her power and the stakes of the war around her, even as questions about her past remain unanswered.
