Synopsis

Les Frontières de glace continues La Quête d'Ewilan as Ewilan and her companions press northward from the capital toward the frozen lands of Al-Poll, seeking answers that might explain her origins and the nature of her power. Along the way they gain new allies, including a Fael warrior whose skills prove valuable as the journey grows more dangerous, while hostile forces loyal to the Ts'liches track their movements across treacherous mountain terrain. In the frozen north the group encounters the Sentinelles, ancient guardians long imprisoned there, along with a dragon whose presence hints at older, larger forces at work in Gwendalavir's history. As Ewilan's understanding of the Drawing continues to grow under pressure, she and her friends must stay ahead of their pursuers while unraveling clues tied to both her past and the wider war threatening the world she has only recently come to know.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.
