Synopsis

The forty-fourth book of The Legend of the Ice People, published in English as An Evil Day. The clan's struggle against Tengel the Evil has become a race to reach the Ice People's forgotten valley first, and now comes a black day in the history of the Ice People: Tengel and his right-hand man, the gruesome Lynx, have gathered all their forces against the clan and its helpers. Tengel's evil minions are many, mercenaries, war criminals, seductive witches and armoured horsemen whom it seems impossible to defeat, and the Ice People must face them on the way to the final confrontation with their ancestor.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Legend of the Ice People): The original 47-volume saga (1982-1989) following the cursed Ice People clan across generations of Scandinavian history, marked by inherited supernatural gifts, a medallion-bound curse, and (in its later volumes) an underground kingdom where time itself runs differently. Two later continuations exist (a further ~35 volumes across two more parts, published years afterward) and are not yet catalogued here pending closer genre review.
