Synopsis
Desina, granddaughter of the immortal ruler Askannon, takes the throne of Askir, but her accession is overshadowed by a murder. Havald, the warrior who cannot die, is killed and his bound sword, Seelenreißer, is stolen. Only by recovering the sword can Askir's hero be woken from an eternal sleep. Leandra and her companions set out to track the killer to Illian, while behind the scenes the gods wage their own war and the pieces of the old conflict start moving again.
