Synopsis
Thirteen-year-old aspiring demonologist Eric Thursley performs a summoning meant to conjure a demon who will grant him three wishes, and instead pulls the hapless wizard Rincewind out of the nightmarish Dungeon Dimensions. Rincewind insists he has no power to grant anything, but because he was summoned under the terms of a demonic contract, it turns out that simply snapping his fingers can make Eric's wishes come true, whether he intends it or not. Convinced Rincewind is holding out on him, Eric presses his demands, and the pair, along with Rincewind's ever-pursuing sentient luggage, are hurled through a series of wildly different realities as Eric's three wishes, to rule the world, to meet history's most beautiful woman, and to live forever, are each granted in turn, sending them through warped versions of ancient empires, legendary wars and the dawn of creation itself.
