Synopsis
In the third book of The Hollows series, Rachel Morgan must face the consequences of a Faustian bargain: to testify against the city's vampire kingpin, Piscary, she agreed to become a demon's familiar while attempting to keep her soul intact. With the trial concluded and Piscary sentenced, the demon Algaliarept returns to collect on the debt, even as complications mount in Rachel's personal and professional life, including new tension with Ivy and a fresh string of supernatural cases for the fledgling runner business. Rachel must find a way to outmaneuver a being who has centuries more experience than she does, without losing everything she has built in the Hollows.
