Synopsis

Fire Touched continues the Mercy Thompson series when a troll's rampage in the Tri-Cities draws Mercy and the pack into conflict with the fae, who are increasingly resentful of human encroachment on their remaining territory. In the aftermath, Mercy and Adam take in a mysterious boy who was stolen away by the fae centuries earlier and marked by fire in ways that set him apart from ordinary humans and fae alike. Their decision to protect him, rather than hand him over, is meant as an act of compassion, but it draws unwelcome attention from powerful fae interests who want the boy for their own purposes. As tensions among werewolves, fae, and human authorities escalate, Mercy and Adam must decide how far they will go to keep the boy safe, even as the consequences ripple outward through the pack and beyond.
