Synopsis
In the fifth book of The Hollows series, Rachel Morgan, juggling relationships with one vampire she is dating and another she lives with, confronts a serial killer terrorizing Cincinnati's magical community and sparking a gang war among rival supernatural factions. She holds an ancient artifact that could stop the killer, but using it risks igniting deadly conflict between races who are only barely maintaining an uneasy truce with one another. As bodies pile up and factions jockey for advantage, Rachel is forced to decide how far she is willing to go, and what alliances she is willing to risk, to keep the killings from tearing the city's fragile peace apart.
