Synopsis

Kate Gordon is a twelve-year-old with a keen interest in physics. Her grandfather, a physicist who was working on a mysterious project, vanishes without explanation. Kate sets out to learn what happened to him and is drawn into a journey far beyond Earth, travelling to a distant galaxy where she must find him and save his life. Along the way she discovers a secret that threatens the future of the Earth and the whole solar system. The story blends science and magic, treating them as two ways of understanding the universe, and puts a curious girl at the centre of a danger much larger than her family.
